LEONARDO DiCaprio pulls out all the stops to bed Carey Mulligan in the riotous new trailer for The Great Gatsby.
There are vintage cars, wild women and extravagant parties as the Roaring Twenties of the F. Scott Fitzgerald novel come to life – to the ultra-modern sound of Kanye and Jay-Z’s No Church In The Wild.
The new footage focuses on the star’s enigmatic millionaire, Jay Gatsby, who is seen racing his yellow Duisenberg convertible through the Manhattan streets with Tobey Maguire’s young narrator, Nick, at his side.
British star Carey – sporting the fashionable flapper bob and beaded dresses of the era – is the love of his life, Daisy, who is now married to Tom (Joel Edgerton).
There is also a glimpse of Isla Fisher – as Tom’s lover Myrtle – being mown down by the tycoon’s car.
The stylish movie, shot in 3D, is the work of Moulin Rouge director Baz Luhrmann and bursts into cinemas in May 2013.
